5 Health Benefits of Fasting in Ramadan

Do you know that fasting has positive impacts on the human health?Since we are in the Holy month of Ramadan, let’s look at the health benefits of fasting in Ramadan.
Fasting is defined as the process of restricting food and drink intake, either by one’s personal decision or by force, for a particular period of time. It could be done partially for some certain kind of food or in total in which no food or liquid is consumed for 24 hours or a few days.
If you are of the opinion that you may not be able to withstand fasting, then you need to give up coffee or sweets. Below are five health benefits of fasting:
1. Detoxification: This is a usual body activity where the body neutralises any type of toxins in the various organs like the colon, liver, lungs, or skin. 2. Mental Health Improvement: After fasting, the bloo…

1. Complex carbohydrates: starchy foods which release energy slowly throughout the day, as they take longer to digest and absorb into our bloodstream. This helps to keep us active through the day. Meet the University Graduate who strips and clowns for money in a Lagos bar (Photos and Video)

Job unemployment in Nigeria has driven many University graduates to different demeaning jobs, but I have never seen a young man who would depend on this type of job for survival. I usually hang out in this nice bar in Lagos, and this young man always comes around in the evening, perform for customers chilling in the bar till late night.

I don’t think he receives a payment from the bar management- didn’t bother to ask anyway. But, I did get to talk to him, and he reveals he is a graduate, but since he couldn’t find any job, he decided to do this. He says he sometimes obtain tips from customers in the bar to the tune of N2,000 daily. He is a very charming performer anyway, and I just had to take a video of him with my humble self.

When will unemployment drop in Nigeria? Watch the video below:

My Heart Bleeds For You Young Lady (Nigerian Soldiers and Oppression)

This is not a fictional story. It happened in real life, but I got to the scene few minutes after the Nigerian soldiers had done their bad deeds. The most painful thing is that I do not have ‘picture or video’ evidence; else this report would have way much better. You don’t have to believe me anyways. So, what happened? Why does my title carry Nigerian soldiers and oppression?
My heart bleeds for this lady. From the reports I gathered from anonymous witnesses, this lady was in a hotel around Agric, Owutu area of Ikorodu chilling with her friends. Someone met her inside the hotel and tricked her that her attention was needed outside for a hookup (to be frank, the young lady was a hooker). When she got outside, the Nigerian soldiers who were stationed in the area (Agric, Owutu, Ikorodu) descended on her heavily. What was her offence?
I gathered she wore a white gown that had a camouflage-like design that laced the down part of the gown. She was not only beaten heavily, the soldiers got he…
