Lagos Police And OPC Arrests 15 Suspected Badoo Gang Members During Raid (Photos)

LATEST IKORODU BADOO NEWS: The Lagos State Police Command working in conjunction with the Odua Peoples’ Congress (OPC), Onyabo and other local vigilantes groups in Ikorodu axis of Lagos State have arrested 15 suspects in connection with the activities of the dreaded Badoo terror group in Ikorodu. The operation, which commenced yesterday morning, witnessed the swift and tactical movement of a combined team of police officers drawn from Lagos Command, Rapid Response Squad and Ikorodu Police Division led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Mr Imohimi Edgal, also working with some security support groups in Ikorodu, combed streets after streets arresting suspects.

According to reports, the security team combed dark suspected areas like Ikorodu, Ibeshe, Itamaga, Ijede, Ipakodo and other areas arresting about 15 suspects for questioning.
Today’s exercise was a follow-up to a meeting with the factional leaders of Odua Peoples’ Congress, Chief Gani Adams and Onyabo which held on 29 of June 2017. See photo of the Badoo members burnt to death in Jumofak junction a few days ago.

Over 40 Police and RRS vehicles are believed to have been dispersed in the operations.
According to the Lagos State Police PPRO, ASP Olarinde Famous - Cole, the exercise is a continuous one.

Also involved in the exercise were the Commander, Rapid Response Squad, ACP Olatunji Disu, DPO, Ikorodu among other top police officers. Read the story and see the photo of a man arrested in Ikorodu over suspects of him being a member of Badoo cult group.

Updated: In a new twist of event, one of the 15 people who was arrested was able to smuggle his phone into the truck they were locked, and he managed to take a pic of himself in the truck and posted it online with a plea to be saved. The man said he was innocent and only randomly picked in the raid, and that he didn't know where they were taking them.
